After Hours

After hours, one of our doctors is always available by phone for urgent matters that cannot wait until the next business day or are truly a medical emergency (difficulty breathing, seizure, poisoning, or a fever in an infant less than 2 months of age).  Please wait until the next business day if you have questions regarding well care, prescription refills, chronic complaints, vaccinations, or need to make or reschedule an appointment.

We do not routinely call in prescription medications (including antibiotics) over the phone.

Have the following information when calling after hours:

  • Which of our doctors is your child’s primary care physician

  • Name and dosage of any medications that your child is taking

  • Your 24-hour pharmacy phone number

  • If you think that your child has a fever, take his/her temperature before calling

  • Have your child nearby to visualize his/her condition

Call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if your child:

  • ate or drank a known poison

  • ate or drank a large amount of medication

  • ate or drank something that he/she should NOT have

Call 911 if your child is:

  • not breathing

  • choking

  • having a seizure

  • unconscious

  • bleeding profusely

  • having an anaphylactic allergic reaction
