Ilona Kleiner, M.D.

   Dr. Ilona Kleiner is a board certified pediatrician. She grew up in the greater Los Angeles area.  She earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA, where she graduated magna cum laude and simultaneously received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Master of Art Degree in Immunology. She then attended The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. During medical school she conducted research in site-directed mutagenesis of neuroblastoma.  She went on to do her internship and residency in Pediatrics at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.  During residency, she received many accolades including excellence in teaching.

   After completing her residency in 2002, Dr. Kleiner joined Pediatric Associates Medical Group.  Dr. Kleiner enjoys providing guidance and support to parents as they navigate their children’s many different stages of development.  She enjoys working with children of all ages and cultivating interpersonal relations with her patients and families.  She practices an evidence based approach to medical care and emphasizes the importance of preventative care and parental education.  As an advocate for children, she is an active member of the local Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is involved in several committees that help establish clinical practice guidelines based on research and expert consensus. She is also the physician liaison for the San Fernando Valley for the CHLA Care Network.

   When Dr. Kleiner is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cooking, as well as spending time with her husband, Marat, and their daughter, Iliana.
